HollyGlen Studios offers art instruction to homeschooled students, children and adults in class form and limited private instruction.

My work has made juried shows and I love to share my skills with others who desire to express themselves visually. I started teaching art in 1993 and designed several courses to meet the needs and interests of school children.

These classes are not about art appreciation. They are hands-on drawing and sculpting. We train the eye to understand what it is seeing, the hand to draw what we see and the student the skills needed to use each different art medium. Students have fun learning and many are surprised how well they can draw with instruction and practice.

Every week students do homework to practice skills covered in the last lesson. When I am teaching for home school pupils, everyone’s final is evaluated and a grade is given based on that evaluation, homework done and classroom participation.
